Keeping your shoes clean:

It is good to spray your new shoes with an Instant Repell.  That will help keep liquid from soaking into the material.  You can re-apply this product as often as needed.  It is also a good idea to invest in a good cleaning product and polish.  The more you clean your footwear the longer it will stay looking nice.

Cleaning The Coils:

You can use a wet paper towel or a baby wipe and push it through the coil and rub it around.  If you use the end of a pen or screw driver you can really get that rubber cleaned inside there.

Cleaning The Insoles:

You can hand wash the insoles in a sink and then let them air dry.  We do not reccomend putting them in the dryer.

Is Your CoiL Loose?

On occasion your coil may become loose or click while wearing the footwear.  If you can't come in right away take the insole out of the footwear and tighten the screw.  That should help until you have time to come in.  However, you do want to get in as soon as you can so we can fix the problem.  The coils tend to come loose if you pivot your body on the back of one heel (getting in and out of your car, working at the kitchen counter, etc) or it can happen by getting the coil caught under a chair or if someone behind you steps on the coil while you are walking.  What you don't want to happen is have it so loose that it actually rotates on the bottom of the shoe.  If it gets like this you will have a chance of putting extra holes in the bottom of the orthotic and it will be impossible for us to fix it.  The best thing to do is bring your footwear to us and let us fix it.

Replacement Coils:

You can purchase replacement coils as often as you need to.  We recommend replacing your coils about every 9-18 months.  Some customers purchase replacement coils when they purchase their shoes because they live a long distance away and they don't want to be without their footwear.
